あの真夜中に見た黄金の彗星

The Golden Comet I Saw That Midnight

Burning out within these hands
Is a gentle comet in the color of gold

Arisu: The Hatred

A fire that burns too long will one day devour the girl who kindled it. It dances with the hatred that flickers in her heart, until the flames and her fury become one; inseparable and wild.

Don't shine so bright, it'll make my ugly shadow even more pronounced

Arisu, the phoenix of MONTBLANC and its main songwriter, casts herself as the villain in her own tragic tale. With each song, she weaves curses, longing for one to pierce the sky and resonate through eternity. She believes that to reach such heights, she must drench her midnight city in vermilion, staining its streets with the fire of her ambition. But as she nears her goal, a golden comet blazes across the heavens, cloaking her city in an endless night. For a moment, she ignored it's existence. But when dawn breaks, its golden light spills through—sharp and unforgiving, burning her eyes. The radiance unravels the darkness she had woven so tightly around herself, forcing her to see that in chasing the sky, she may have lost herself to the night.

Ryunosuke: The Love

In every moment, he gazes upon the world with a heart open to its beauty, finding light even in its shadows. Like the vast ocean that cradles all that comes its way, he embraces life with gentle acceptance, seeing its endless possibilities and reflecting them with unwavering love.

Instead of “I love you”, wait a little bit for my love to reach you

Ryunosuke, a cherished member of TRIGGER, holds within him an immense capacity for love—a love so boundless that it transcends judgment. He sees others without prejudice, and while this kindness flows freely from his heart, it is often misused by those who fail to understand its depth. He shines with a brilliance, so pure and unyielding that it stirs even the midnight sun. She grows wary, fearing that the radiance of him will outshine the night and reveal the darkness she harbors within—the hatred she keeps hidden. Ryunosuke, in his innocence, does not see the peril. He does not realize that a comet, no matter how brightly it burns, will fade and disappear if it strays too close to the sun, consumed by the very light it longs to embrace.

Them: The Midnight Comet

One advances with open arm, while the other recoils, unwilling to be caught. One bathes in sunlight, always seeing the golden linings,
while the other raises clenched fists, molding her sorrow into curses that echo through the air. Both hold an excess within themselves—one overflowing with light, the other burdened by darkness. But together, they form a strange, necessary balance. Like two sides of a coin, they spin in unison, pushing and pulling, each tethered to the other, ensuring that neither brightness nor gloom reigns alone for too long.

I found you (light) in every steps that I took (shadow), but I don't hate it, strangely.

"The proof of my existence is here"

On stage, Arisu is a force of nature. Passionate, confident, and utterly captivating, she commands attention with every glance. Even Kujou Takamasa couldn't deny it—there was something in her eyes, an amethyst fire so fierce it drew people in without mercy. It was that very presence that compelled him to recruit her. For Arisu, music was never just a dream or a hobby; it was a legacy. She wanted her songs to stay in people’s hearts as her proof of existence. It’s this relentless drive that made her the soul of MONTBLANC, writing every one of their songs with the weight of that dream on her shoulders. But brilliance is never without its flaws. Arisu’s temper burns just as hot as her passion. Quick to grumble over small annoyances, her blunt, no-nonsense attitude drew criticism during the early days of her debut. She acted as though it didn’t matter, brushing off their words like dust on her sleeve. But being just 17-18 at the time, balancing school life with fame, she couldn't help but feel the weight of their judgment. Whispers from classmates and strangers alike lingered in her mind, planting doubt. Was she really a bad person? She began to hating being called a "role model" for her personality outside the idol persona, finding it suffocating. Over time, however, her image evolved. What once seemed like arrogance began to look more like strength. People came to see her attitude as part of her on-screen persona, though some wondered where the act ended and the real Arisu began.

"To be remembered by eternity as my own self—to have my songs reach the sky"

One thing Arisu could never stomach was being seen as a replacement for someone else. When Takamasa suggested she could become "the next ZERO," she refused outright. Aspiring to reach ZERO's level was one thing, but to be labeled "ZERO’s successor" was an insult. She wanted to be remembered as Arisu, not anyone's shadow. This conviction was rooted in her childhood. As the biological daughter of a famous bassist and got titled genius songwriter, people often dismissed her talents as mere luck, a product of her lineage. "She’s only good because of her father," they'd say. Those words struck deep, chipping away at her self-belief. For a time, she doubted herself, wondering if her skills were truly her own. But her stepfather—patient, steady, and kind—helped her see otherwise. With his support, she gradually reclaimed her confidence, learning to trust in her own efforts.Still, despite everything, Arisu harbored hatred toward her biological father. Even after his death, he remained larger than life—his songs still played, his name still revered, as if he had never truly died. That fact gnawed at her, a constant reminder that she was chasing a ghost she could never outrun. Part of her wanted to surpass him, to leave behind something just as timeless. She didn’t just want to be remembered—she wanted her music to outlast her, to echo far beyond her lifetime, so that one day, someone might say the same thing about her.

"Because you're always kind to others, you won't understand this heart of mine"

Arisu clings to the belief that her hatred for her father is the very force that fuels her survival in the ruthless world of entertainment. In her eyes, only monsters possess such a profound capacity for hatred—and so, she sees herself as one. This self-image casts a long shadow over her soul, and she wears it like armor. To Arisu, the lyrics she writes are no mere words strung together. They are curse spells, enchantments powerful enough to immortalize her songs, so it could bring them through eternity. Each verse, each note, feels like a thread in a tapestry of defiance and pain. But Ryuu sees something else entirely. For him, Arisu is not a monster but a deeply human being, one who harbors both darkness and light. Her hatred may be fierce, but it is not all that defines her. Beneath the layers of bitterness, Ryuu believes there lies a heart capable of compassion—a heart that Arisu either cannot see or stubbornly refuses to acknowledge. Her songs, too, are not the sinister incantations she claims them to be. To Ryuu, they are blessings. Whether she realizes it or not, those same "curses" have become lifelines for countless fans. Her music speaks to them, resonates with their own struggles, and in many unseen, quiet ways, it saves them. That's proof enough that Arisu is not a monster. After all, monsters don't heal people—only humans do.
